FISHING TIPS
Quick Retrieve Attracts Strikes
Recipe submitted by Ron Millik of Roy, Wash.
When using a soft-plastic jerkbait, instead of letting the lure hit the water and begin sinking, engage the reel just before the lure hits the water and quickly crank the handle a few times. This will cause the lure to smack the water and jump and skip toward you on the surface. Then let it sit a few moments. This often provokes strikes from inactive bass.
