"Pencil" Down This Tip Heavily weighted plastic worms may miss a few fish because of the quick fall rate. One way to slow the fall rate is to add some flotation in the form of a "pencil cushion." These foam cushion grips can be found in the pencil and pen section of office-supply stores. Cut them in half and slip one over any worm. A drop of Super Glue will keep it in place. Rig the cushion in various spots on the worm for a different look. This rig also works wonders on Carolina rigs. More
